[Entertainment]
Computer/console games continue to become more advanced, graphical and intense, now resembling mini-operas of realism and, in many cases, blood and gore.

But are they going too far? The latest version of the popular Far Cry series, called "Far Cry 5" seems to alternatively criticize and glorify the rise of right wing, religious extremists in what some might consider a very realistic manner. But nowhere does this become more creepy and weird when you examine you choice of the game's three possible ending cinematic sequences. See for yourself...

**SPOILER ALERT** If you're not interested in playing through the games 14+ hour run time to see where it goes, continue to read this article..

Australian vloggers, Juice Media have been putting out very high quality, almost-too-intense news-based rap videos for quite awhile now and I'm a big fan of their work. It's easy to forget that each time we turn on a light, we are contributing to the ecological damage caused by the coal that generates electricity in this country. The Last Mountain gives us plenty of reasons to remember.

Watch an incredible journey these filmmakers take in chronicling a small community's attempt to fight for their lives and the lives of half of America who is downstream.

Katy Perry Fights Back Against TV Censorship

In the wake of the Children's Television Workshop axing a segment where pop singer Katy Perry performed her song on Sesame Street, fearing the singer was too exposed (apparently children are only allowed to see cleavage as a road map to mom's refreshment station), Perry has gone on the offensive in a big way. First showing up on Saturday Night Live in a provacative outfit made out of an Elmo shirt, she's totally left the boat with her latest video... I smell some lawsuits from CTW on this one despite the fact that it's an obvious parody... and completely hilarious!

On YouTube, he goes by "Red Letter Media" - a middle-aged guy named Mike from Milwaukee who is an avid Sci-Fi fan. How avid? He put together a 70 (Yes Seventy) minute review of Star Wars Episode I - the Phantom Menace. Now you're probably thinking a 70 minute movie review must be incredibly boring. Quite the contrary... Apparently this video is a "must see" in the hollywood movie community and presents a thorough indictment against George Lucas that even the most avid Star Wars fanatic probably can't argue against. Watch and learn and be wickedly entertained.

Gene Roddenberry's wife, Majel Roddenberry passed away today. We at BSAlert particularly mourn this loss because Majel was an outspoken secular humanist, as was her husband Gene, and this theme ran through all the Star Trek shows while Gene was involved.

Her romance with Roddenberry earned her the title "The First Lady of Star Trek." A fixture in the "Star Trek" franchise, her roles included Nurse Christine Chapel in the original "Star Trek," Lwaxana Troi in "Star Trek: The Next Generation" and the voice of the USS Enterprise computer in almost every spin-off of the 1966 cult series. She recently reprised the voice role in the upcoming "Star Trek" film directed by J.J. Abrams.

If they were to remake The Wizard of Oz today, I think we'd find one of Dorothy's most famous lines would change. "Thank goodness we're not in Kansas any more, Toto." It seems many people it Kansas still want to repress women as they were in the 1840's, 100 years before this movie first came out.

KANSAS CITY, Mo. (AP) -- Kansas activities officials are investigating a religious school's refusal to let a female referee call a boys' high school basketball game. The Kansas State High School Activities Association said referees reported that Michelle Campbell was preparing to officiate at St. Mary's Academy near Topeka on Feb. 2 when a school official insisted that Campbell could not call the game.

The reason given, according to the referees: Campbell, as a woman, could not be put in a position of authority over boys because of the academy's beliefs.
