Georgeann Walsh Ward, 53, of Chester, N.Y. is suing KISS rocker Gene Simmons claiming his VH1 special slanders her good name. In the special Simmons claims to have slept with over 4,000 women; there wasn't one that was off limits, and he enjoyed all of them. However Ms. Ward said she met Simmons at a concert in October 1972 when she was 21. For the next three years through fall of 1975, she says in court papers, they were in what she believed was "an exclusive, monogamous, romantic relationship."

Rumsfeld Supports the Troops

On a morale-boosting trip to Kuwait to talk to soldiers, Sec. of Defense Rumsfeld received several tough questions. One asked why the troops didn't have enough armor for their vehicles.

Spc. Thomas Wilson had asked the defense secretary, "Why do we soldiers have to dig through local landfills for pieces of scrap metal and compromised ballistic glass to up-armor our vehicles?" Shouts of approval and applause arose from the estimated 2,300 soldiers who had assembled to see Rumsfeld.

Rumsfeld basically told them to suck it up and deal with it.

"You go to war with the Army you have," Rumsfeld replied, "not the Army you might want or wish to have."

You'd think that in a year and a half, they could have made some progress towards getting the equipment they need, though.

It's hard to believe that anyone would think a video of a semi-nude, 19-yo Cameron Diaz on a leash would be of interest to people. Go figure? And now in what is obviously a bold act of defiance, some Russians are selling the video. Could this usher in the next cold war?
