A U.S. Appeals Court (the shoulder to cry on of the federal judiciary) recently overruled federal regulators who had decided that expletives spoken on broadcast tv is in violation of decency standards. The New York court said that the FCC's new policy on so-called fleeting expletives "arbitrary and capricious." An arbitrary and capricious conservative federal policy about decency? No shit.

Republican FCC Chairman Kevin Martin dropped the f-bomb himself in his retort to the ruling.
Martin thought it,

"hard to believe that the New York court would tell American families that 'shit' and 'f*ck' are fine to say on broadcast television during the hours when children are most likely to be in the audience. If we can't restrict the use [of the two obscenities] during prime time, Hollywood will be able to say anything they want, whenever they want."

You know, words like "conservative dickhead" or "Kevin Martin's an asshole"--it would be total pande-damn-monium. Expect to see this case make its way onto the Supreme Court's docket sometime soon.
