The Bush administration officially notified Congress Monday of its intention to sell sophisticated precision-guided bombs to Saudi Arabia.

It should be noted the majority of the hijackers who flew planes into the WTC on 9/11 were Saudi Arabians.

I'm sure nothing bad could come of this...

David from the Art of Mental Warfare teamed up with Trent Reznor of Nine Inch Nails to present “Warning.” The project takes on the covert interests behind the war and our media saturated society. Personally I think this is also a huge nod to Noam Chomsky's, "Manufacturing Consent". Check out the video...

The Bad Astronomer provides more reasons to believe the Bayou State is in the end times:

"Lousianans, congrats! You have joined Texas and South Carolina in being able to promote creationism to your kids!

Lousiana just elected Bobby Jindal as governor. He is/was a Congressman, but ran for governor and just won the election.

Why does this doom the state? Because Jindal has made it clear he supports creationism. Very, very clear.

[Military]
Nuclear missiles, I submit, are dangerous. We as a people are comforted by the fact that if such weapons of truly massive mass destruction must exist, at least they are kept under guard at all times by the military. But what if the military loses track of them for a cross-country trip in a bomber?

Church Group Launches "Prayer Assault" Over IRS Investigation

Yesterday, Americans United asked the Internal Revenue Service to investigate the First Southern Baptist Church of Buena Park, Calif., for a potential violation of federal tax law barring electioneering by non-profit groups. Dr. Wiley S. Drake, pastor of the church, issued a press release on church letterhead endorsing Republican presidential candidate Mike Huckabee and subsequently offered the endorsement on a church-affiliated radio show.

Instead of responding to Americans United’s concern of illegal activity, Drake issued yesterday afternoon a plea to his supporters to join in “imprecatory prayers” (curses) every morning for Americans United and its staff.

US Undersecretary of State Nicholas Burns has signed a deal that will provide Israel with $30bn of military aid over the next 10 years.

The Israeli prime minister, Ehud Olmert, has said the aid will preserve his country's military advantage over other countries in the Middle East [while being the pawn in an elaborate kickback scheme to politically-connected American companies who profit from the Middle Eastern conflict.]

Pentagon Endorses Apocolyptic Video Game Sent To Soldiers

Posted by Pile (11874 views) Add this story to MyYahoo Add this article to del.icio.us Submit article to Reddit Add story to Furl Add story to StumbleUpon [E-Mail link]

The "Left Behind: Eternal Forces" video game, is set in a "post apocalyptic" New York that looks almost exactly like New York City after the 9/11 terrorist attacks and lets players simulate commanding a paramilitary Christian army that seeks to convert Jews, mainline Christians, Muslims, atheists, Buddhists, and everyone else in New York City to fundamentalist Christianity. All who resist will be killed.

Now, with the blessing and endorsement of the Pentagon, a Christian ministry with apocalyptic fundamentalist beliefs that is planning a series of tours it calls a 'military crusade' to entertain US troops in Afghanistan and Iraq will also be distributing the "Left Behind: Eternal Forces" 'Convert or Die' religious warfare video game....

To US troops.

What ?

Let me repeat:

The United States Pentagon has endorsed sending a Christian supremacist religious warfare video game to United States troops in Iraq, a predominantly Muslim nation.

Osama Bin Laden himself could hardly hardly have hatched a better plot to incite widespread war between Christianity and Islam.

Having not completely pinned the Irony and Incompetency meter, the Bush administration this week is pushing for Congress to approve the sale of $20B worth of arms to Saudi Arabia. You know, the Saudi Arabia that supplied 15 of the 19 men who crashed planes on 9/11. Yea, that Saudi Arabia.

The proposed package of advanced weaponry for Saudi Arabia includes state-of-the-art satellite-guided bombs, upgrades to its fighters and new naval vessels.

The British troops serving in Iraq want to make one thing perfectly clear: they did not introduce man-eating badgers to Iraq, period.

Locals near the southern Iraqi city of Basra have begun circulating rumors that the deadly 30-pound creatures were brought in by the British to cause panic.

And here we were thinking that a surge of human soldiers would be the way to go.

The Supreme Court ruled Monday that ordinary taxpayers cannot challenge a White House initiative that helps religious charities get a share of federal money.
