This has to be one of the most amusing campaign ads I've seen....

But WHY Vote of OBAMA
Posted by Carolina Girl on 2008-10-26 19:14:18
Opie, Andy and Fonzie... You never tell us WHY we should vote for OBAMA... Just because you say so??? Do you even know any of Obama's policies?
because they said so!

Will someone please remind me why celebrities' -- movie & television actors, directors & producers in particular -- political endorsements should be of even the slightest importance to the average voter?
There have been some notable exceptions, of course, but what is it that makes us so alike we can trust their views on the issues?
Could it be the similarity in career choices, paychecks (think tax brackets), work schedules or earning potential?
Maybe it's the similarity in leisure activities or parenting styles (as widely reported, at least) ....
Or their much better possibility of actually meeting & being able to influence a candidate (we're talking donations here) -- you know, really "connecting" with him ....
I just find it very hard to believe we're all in the same boat when it comes to the daily lives most of us lead & the issues of today. Taxes, health insurance, our local schools, mortages -- the whole lot them affects all of us in some way or another, but I'll bet there are differences on a very large scale between my favorite movie star & myself.
So what's the big idea & why do I need to take his or her word for what's best for me?
YEah!

I agree wholeheartedly with the other two posts. This video makes me want to change my vote to "Ron Howard can eat a dick."
Change

I'll take something like this over one of the GOP's lying, race-bating attack ads any day.

Give it up! I will take 4 NEW years of Mr, Obama over the lying crap that has raided America for the last eight.

Most political elections are more or less population contests, which is why celebrities and people with lots of money to launch effective promotional campaigns, tend to get elected. This is because the people are not well-informed on the issues, mainly because the media isn't doing its job properly.... or I should say, since the Fairness Doctrine was eradicated, the media is no longer in the business of properly informing the populace, so they vote for whoever they've heard of.

You forget, Wick, that it was Clinton's policy that started this whole economic mess to begin with.
get real

So Naomi, Clinton gave tax cuts to the rich? Got us involved not in Afghanistan but in Iraq? Continued to deregulate the finance and real estate industries ? Yep. sure sounds like Billy boy is responsible. If he hadn't done any deregulation then I am sure 'W' would never have implemented all of his failed policies... even with his daddy's help.
Get a ticket to a place called reality.
