God is such a waste... Posted by David van Veen on 2006-12-10 19:58:34 | We as a society expend so much energy on such a worthless thing. If we put this much energy into teaching our children what life is really about the world would be a much better place. |
Posted by The Lost Prophyt on 2006-12-10 20:19:37 | Ditto. I totally agree with David. |
Posted by Pile on 2006-12-10 20:36:42 | I think the problem is everybody has a different idea of what life is about. However, it seems to me, that religion is all about what happens after life is over, so why so many people seem preoccupied with this while they're alive, is, as you say, quite a pointless waste of energy. |
G-Money Dog Posted by Jesus H. Christ on 2006-12-10 21:18:11 | I'm insulted, they made me too yellow and small. See, if those little jerks cared about me then they'd have made me eight feet tall, white, and with a more modern haircut.
Nothing says "respect" like wheeling a yellow cutout of someone around the mall. |
Morons Posted by Change Name on 2006-12-10 21:32:47 | I hate people. |
Posted by Anonymous on 2006-12-10 21:38:13 | Wow, some of you people seem bitter. |
:O!! Posted by anonymous part 2 on 2006-12-11 03:08:25 | Burn in HEAVEN, Anonymous!! |
Posted by Anonymous on 2006-12-11 06:15:47 | Curious how people care so much about things just because other people tell them they're supposed to. |
Posted by AnneLee on 2006-12-11 06:52:04 | Agreed, these folks seem angry, bitter and sick |
Posted by A. B. Normal on 2006-12-11 08:22:57 | The funny thing is, the real core in most of Jesus's teachings was about how we treat our fellow human. IMHO, it's the men through the ages that put a lot of the fearmongering in the Bible, to help control the masses. |
Posted by Mike on 2006-12-11 08:40:50 | Someone above said it nicely. If people spent more time focusing on the real world instead of the fantasy afterlife and these mythical figures, the world WOULD be a better place and we wouldn't need to cart jesus around. |
Stupid churchies Posted by nonyabidness on 2006-12-11 10:24:07 | stupid churcies, don't you know praying in public is a sin? |
Posted by Jake on 2006-12-11 12:31:10 | Carting around a cardboard cutout of a 2000-year-old zombie is considered "praying"? o_O |
too literal Posted by Anonymous on 2006-12-11 14:45:43 | It seems an interesting point, a very hands on approach to a lesson the youth pastor is trying to make. However, there's not much that I can see that is good about taking a portrait, let alone a life size image, of Jesus around. |
