Toshiba TV summons search and rescue teams to student's apt. Posted by Pile (8065 views) [E-Mail link] [Faulty Products] [Television] A malfunctioning Toshiba television set apparently sent out a 121.5Mhz broadcast, a frequency used for international distress signals, and was picked up by a satellite which prompted a hunt by authorities which ended with search and rescue teams showing up at the residence of a very shocked 20-year old college student.
