The jury for two men accused of animal cruelty has been selected in the small town of Winton,N.C. The two evidently lethally injected pets and dumped their bodies in grocery store trash bins. The wrinkle in the case is that the two guys are PETA volunteers!

The jury will contain three men who work at a local slaughterhouse (well known for their respect for the cause of PETA, no doubt). Evidently the two would-be animal lovers, Adria Hinkle and Andrew Cook, had volunteered to adopt abandoned pets. The numbers stacked up, though, and it wasn't long before the two were overwhelmed. So they turned to the only logical solution--killing the beasties. The two were caught when police noticed them dumping several BAGS of dead animals into a dumpster.
