When the avalanche struck, the man began trying to dig his way out, then realized that there was too much snow and nowhere to put it. So he cracked open one of the 60 half-liter bottles of beer he had brought along for his vacation to think over the problem. Suddenly he realized that he could pile up the snow, then melt it by peeing on it, with the help of his beer supply. After four days of digging and drinking, he managed to make his way free from the avalanche. His kidneys and liver were a bit sore, but he was glad that he had planned ahead and had a car packed full of brew to fuel his escape.
