Hey, did you know that the Earth doesn't revolve around the sun? Yep. According to yet another important-sounding PAC called the "Fair Education Foundation". This group is in the news this week for working with Georgia Republicans to draft a memo that was distributed to lawmakers demanding that a law requiring only "facts" be taught in school and not this idiotic "theory" of evolution. Oh and also, evolution is apparently the invention of some archaic, Jewish sect according to these people.

A Jewish organization is demanding an apology from a Georgia legislator for a memo that says the teaching of evolution should be banned because it is a myth propagated by an ancient Jewish sect.

State Rep. Ben Bridges denies writing the memo, which attributes the Big Bang theory to Kabbalah, or Jewish mysticism.

Bridges has long opposed the teaching of evolution in Georgia classrooms and has introduced legislation requiring only that "scientific fact" be taught.

Marshall Hall, president of the Fair Education Foundation, says the Republican lawmaker gave him approval to write the memo, which has been distributed to legislators in several states, including California and Texas.

The memo asks readers to challenge the "evolution monopoly in the schools" by logging onto Hall's anti-evolution Web site, http://www.fixedearth.com .

"Indisputable evidence long hidden but now available to everyone demonstrates conclusively that so-called 'secular evolution science' is the Big Bang, 15-billion-year, alternate 'creation scenario' of the Pharisee Religion," says the memo, which has Bridges' name on it. "This scenario is derived concept-for-concept from Rabbinic writings in the mystic 'holy book' Kabbala dating back at least two millennia."

The Anti-Defamation League sent a letter to Bridges on Thursday chastising him for the memo and demanding him to apologize.

The web site says:
"An electromagnet and computerized sensor hidden in its

display stand cause the Earth to levitate motionlessly in the air."

Could God have engineered something like that for the real Earth?

The Bible and all real evidence confirms that this is precisely what He did, and indeed:

The Earth is not rotating...nor is it going around the sun.

The universe is not one ten trillionth the size we are told.

Today’s cosmology fulfills an anti-Bible religious plan disguised as "science".

The whole scheme from Copernicanism to Big Bangism is a factless lie.

Those lies have planted the Truth-killing virus of evolutionism

in every aspect of man’s "knowledge" about the Universe, the

Earth, and Himself.

was it proved?

Honestly, I am worried about teaching evolution in the schools! Recently, as a student at the U of M, I was forced to read papers that used evolution to justify crap.

For example, the paper claimed that modern women had children later in life than pre-historic women because their babies were more complex.

Of course, the age of puberty, for women, has been dropping for years.... the professor, however, didn't care about this fact and told me that "the paper's authors are "well respected" and threatened to put a bad note in my teaching folder because he didn't like my attitude-- that's because I asked him: "can I read something better than this?"

Since I went back into the engineering business, I never checked if he followed through on his threat.

In the end, I ask myself: why should I pay a fortune for this crap? Wouldn't it be great if universities gave refunds if they apply things like evolution haphazzardly?
Christianity and these wackos

I am a Republican, and a Christian, and think this is the heaviest load of crap in the universe and hopefully it has no specific gravity to draw the unwitting into the trap. My understanding of the Georgia lawmaker, (who should be tarred feathered and rode out of Atlanta on a rail as the imbecile that he is), is the only one that espoused these idiotic beliefs. Oh and as an aside I visited the website, and, predictably there was no way to leave a comment or dissent in any manner. This seems to be the way with those refuse to have there suppositions challenged. I call for all Christians and Republicans who do not want to be appear as fools to immediately and vociferously denounce this as the lunacy that it is.

Marshall Hall presents a timelapse photo of the sky as "proof" that the universe is rotating around the Earth. I suppose that a timelapse photo taken by Marshall as he turned slowly around would provide the proof that the universe is rotating arond him (but he doesn't need proof for that, does he). It is sad that there are so many people who let their own sense of self-importance blind themselves to the amazing universe that God has created. I don't understand why people are so inclined to deny truth when the truth conflicts with thier understanding of the Bible. The Bible has plenty of room in interpretation to allow the Earth to rotate around the Sun. If you believe that the Sun rotates round the Earth because the Bible says so, then it is not the Bible that is wrong, it is you.
My Goodness! I've Been Blinded!

The lies of evolution got so great that I imagined the sun rising and setting before my very eyes! I've got to drop 50 points on the IQ scale to save myeslf! (much sarcasm)

It's a great website....tons of information and a Geocentric universe is perfectly plausable. For a start, look to your senses....what do they tell you? Is the Earth spinning round at 1000 mph?

This guy, and people like him, are why the republicans cannot attract moderates to the party.

IOW, this guy is an example of why the Community Organizer got elected in the first place.

As a Republican and Fundamentalist Bapist - I'd like to voice my opposition to ignorance like this.
Errrrr.. No.

Zac - "... tons of information and a Geocentric universe is perfectly plausable."

Plausible? Sure, it's plausible if you are completely lacking in critical reasoning ability. There is no evidence, anywhere, for any such a thing and every single bit of evidence and direct observation contradicts every single one of the assertions of a Geocentrist! THAT somehow equates to "plausible?"

This is total BS. If these fundamentalsits gain too muich power, the USA will become a thirld world backward country. Remember the writers of the Bible knew nothing of the greater world, they lived in the Middle East. That was their world. Promoting religious ignorance as truth, is a backward & dangerous step.

Critical & logical thinking is required here. Tjhe Sun hjas a mass of appriox 333,000 times that of the Earth. If the Sun orbited a small planet like Earth, the Earth would be torn to shreds. Think for yourselves you backward right wing religious retards. The ERarthm was NOT created ion Six Days & is not only 6,000 years old. Only the ignorant believe such crap. Perhaps fundamentalist chritians need to realise that this is the 21st Century, not the 12th!!!!!!!!!!
