[Industry]
Here's another story you won't find hitting many of the airwaves. The major car manufacturers have implemented a new standard with respect to the diagnostic data new cars generate. What this means is that more and more small, independent, less-expensive car repair places cannot work on peoples' cars because they can't decode the diagnostic messages. There's a battle now to change this so anyone can repair their own cars, and not just the elite dealers who can understand the codes.

Businessmen Caught With $134B of US Bonds at Italy/Swiss Border

Italy's financial police (Guardia italiana di Finanza) has seized US bonds worth US 134.5 billion from two Japanese nationals at Chiasso (40 km from Milan) on the border between Italy and Switzerland. They include 249 US Federal Reserve bonds worth US$ 500 million each, plus ten Kennedy bonds and other US government securities worth a billion dollar each.

So far, no American mainstream media has picked up on this pretty scandalous story. Is some government trying to liquidate their shares of T-bills? Or are they fake and this is the largest counterfeit operation ever?

Keith Olbermann Lets Coward Sean Hannity Of The Hook

[Pundits]
Last month on his Fox News show, torture enthusiast Sean Hannity claimed he would agree to be waterboarded "for charity for the troops's families." MSNBC's Keith Olbermann immediately took up Hannity's pledge, offering $1,000 to charity for every second Hannity withstood waterboarding.

Over the next 30 days, Hannity went completely silent on his pledge, opting not to go anywhere near the subject of waterboarding again. Olbermann repeatedly reminded Hannity of his pledge to donate to charity in his name, but to no avail.

Last night on Countdown, Olbermann announced that he was rescinding the offer to Hannity, and instead giving $10,000 to charity following radio host Erich 'Mancow' Muller's waterboarding attempt. Olbermann promised to donate to the charity Veterans of Valor, founded by Sgt. Klay South, who administered the waterboarding to Muller. Olbermann revealed that Mancow's publicist had contacted Olbermann's show yesterday to see whether Olbermann would make a similar offer to Mancow as he did for Hannity.

News Show Claims Copyright Infringement To Avoid Embarrassment

What happens when your April Fool's day prank is taken seriously by a New York television news agency? Well, in an effort to avoid embarrassment, WPIX CW11, owned by Tribune Entertainment, apparently filed a DMCA complaint against the group, "Improv Everywhere" and claimed copyright infringement on their reporting and re-broadcasting of Improv Everywhere's April Fool's gag, that they thought was real. Once again, a news agency does absolutely no fact-checking, and when caught with their pants down tries to pretend the debacle never happened. Luckily someone other than YouTube is hosting the embarrassing video.

Just when you think you've heard it all, a shocking story surfaces that most of the mainstream media has not reported. Would an American drug company, upon finding that a supply of blood-based drugs was tainted with the HIV virus, offload these drugs overseas in an attempt to make a profit? Foreign regulators that have allowed this to happen are in prison. Nobody in the United States seems to even know this happened!

So what happens when a drug company gets blood for its new hemophiliac medication from a prison in Arkansas? And who do they dump the tainted drugs off on? And who is accountable?

Besides his show Mad Money, Cramer is all over CNBC dispensing investment advice left and right. He's got to be out-performing other investment advisers and especially the market, right? Not really.

BBC Analyst Charlie Booker shows us how the news media turns non-news into news, and creates epic tales of nothingness while getting an entire nation to stare, slack-jawed at a picture of a closed door for six hours.

This report leaves little doubt that news reporters are the 21st century version of roaches.
