Judging by the latest e-mail transcripts that ABC News has gotten its hands on, Congressman Mark Foley had a particular interest in getting those underage male pages to perform a specific act. In a fitting homage, we at BSAlert respectfully suggest that in the future, this act be known as the reflexive verb "foley." (Sample usage: "I was a bit self-conscious, until my friend suggested that I foley myself.")

So what does it mean to foley yourself? Consider these exchanges between the Congressman and two different pages at different times:

2001

Maf54: To be honest, I am a little to interested in you. So that's why I need to back off a little.

Teen: Ya slow things down a little im still young…like under 18. don't want to do anything illegal…im not 18.

Maf54: cool..dont forget to measure for me.

2003

Maf54: well your hard
[page]: that is true
Maf54: and a little horny
Maf54: get a ruler and measure it for me
[page]: ive already told you that
Maf54: tell me again
[page]: 7 and 1/2
Maf54: ummmmmmmmmmmmmmmm
Maf54: beautiful

So clearly..."to foley yourself" would be to measure your erect penis with a ruler. This useful term can also be used transitively--"my girlfriend foleyed me last night, and boy, was she impressed!"

Enjoy the new linguistic territory.
