A friend the other day got an e-mail, one of those annoying "save a kitten, forward this to all your friends" type BS. I decided to look up the web site that this tripe was promoting to find out a new scheme is commercial businesses exploiting charities to make money. For-profit organizations collecting money under the auspice of distributing money to non-profits? Now we have a Seattle company called CharityUSA, which really isn't a non-profit, operating a host of "charity-related" web sites as a commercial entity.
